Monthly Community Highlight: Beltline
We have some amazing communities in Calgary so I’m starting a monthly series to highlight some of my favorite areas and I’m going to start with one that I’ve been spending a lot of time in lately – the Beltline.
So where is the Beltline exactly? Bordered by 14th Street to the west, the Bow River to the east and 17th Avenue to the South the Beltline is comprised of the neighbourhoods of West Connaught, Connaught Centre, Victoria Centre and East Victoria. Over 20,860 Calgarians call this eclectic area home.
Many of my investors having been snapping up units in this trendy area of downtown Calgary which has a little bit of everything for everyone. Affordable apartments are aplenty here with luxury suites and single-family homes. Prices range from an average of $140,000 to $1,999,000 with an overall average of $448,571, making it a very diverse area of our city.
When it comes to things to do in the Beltline, there is no shortage of options for your urban adventures. You can check out the endless options of restaurants & bars or browse the many locally owned shops that line 17th Avenue. The art scene in the area is so vibrant with many murals and ongoing events to showcase the endless talent in the area. And if you are looking for a slice of nature? There are many parks in the area as well as the beautiful Beaulieu Gardens which surround the historic Lougheed House where gardeners love to share stories of the history of the area and chat about all they are cultivating through every season.
